I did a thing.

Actually, I did several. Tonight, not only did I begin a professional blog, but I also created a website. I have been internally struggling with the concept of web site development for YEARS!

By nature of my trade, I am an entrepreneur. If you want to be wealthy, you must diversify your assets and means of income. It is not uncommon for me to have between 2 and 8 sources of income rolling at once. Some ladies have babies, I have businesses. I have nearly 15 years of experience in residential real estate. I have 6+ years of experience in teaching private voice and piano lessons. I have music directed 25+ theatrical productions over the past 4 years. I have become so successful in music, I started my own corporation in 2019. 2019 was a huge year for me. I started my own corporation, moved into a new house, and bought a new car. 2019 also was the year I became attuned to Reiki. Reiki has since evolved into a practical discipline leading to becoming attuned as a Reiki Master this past September.

Throughout all of these professional endeavors, I have been urged and cajoled to build a website. “Regina, you NEED a website if anyone is going to take your seriously.” Did I? I nearly had taken the plunge a few times; the most recent being a stressful 4 hours on Squarespace that reduced me to tears. I still get emails from them asking where I went and if I still want to create that site. In my stubborn reticence, I swore I managed just fine without one. The past several years I used various social media platforms to promote myself and word of mouth referrals are worth their weight in gold. As someone who is technologically stunted (even though I do possess an Iphone, Ipad, and Chromebook) I hardly felt competent enough to build a website. I remember someone saying to me, “Don’t wait for it to be perfect, just start it and take it from there.” So here I am, knee- deep in angsty uncertainty with another charge on my credit card for an investment I’m hoping to not regret in 8 months time.

Frank Sinatra was onto something when he belted out the iconic phrase, “I did it MY way!” Although it is far too overdone at karaoke, hardly ever sung well enough to tolerate listening, there is a certain power behind those words. I am learning to do things my way. I am learning to harness my own power. I am learning to get out of my head, and forge a new path in bold determination. There is an exciting quest I’m just about to embark on, but that will have to wait for another time. All I can do is take the first step in faith, and then see where it leads me.

Special thanks go out to Jen, my tech savvy rock of Gibraltar who helped make all of this possible. If you don’t like my content or website…it’s all her fault.
